This painting was created in remembrance of all those who lost their lives during the Hamas attack on the Israeli festival in 2023. Shani, as one of the symbolic victims, is depicted in her final dance, taking on the role of the mythical Medusa.

Series: Where Are the Women?

Themes of femininity, women’s status in society, and the issues of discrimination and violence against women have been central to my work since my studies. This focus culminated in my diploma project “Sexual Violence Against Women and Girls” (2023), a series of nine paintings, and continues in later works and in the song “The Art of a Woman,” reflecting on how society treats women—from everyday interactions to acts of violence and abduction.
